Wine Tasting Weekend – 5th & 6th February

RJM’s Wine Bar is holding their first wine tasting for this year. It is a relaxed and informal setting where you can sample five (60 ml glasses) of the twelve outstanding quality wines on offer, or four wines plus one of the three (50 ml) fortifieds – you choose.

Our wines are all from local wineries and provide a wide range of tastes and style. These include Grampians Estate’ 2015 Sparkling Shiraz, Fontanella’s Sparkling Prosecco 2018, which is only sold in select wine bars and their restaurant in Daylesford.  Also Bests 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and Montara’s 2019 Pinot Noir, from the Grampians region. Not to forget our Ballarat wine maker, Jean-Paul’s 2017 Carmenere. Finally, for something new and different – Zig Zag’s latest releases – Barrell fermented Rose (rare and in short supply), and Wild Fermented red. All this, whilst enjoying one of our signature cheese platters, and mixed nuts detailed below.

 

CHEESE PLATTER TO SHARE & bowl of lightly salted mixed nuts

Five pieces of local cheese; a Brie or Camembert style, a semi-hard cheese such as Miner’s Delight (Goldfields), two Cheddars and choice of a blue vein or a maple toffee cheddar. Cheeses are accompanied by a selection of olives, seasonal or dried fruits, walnuts and crackers, and Springmount’s fruit pastes and unique black garlic.

Numbers will be limited to 20 people, therefore please book in to avoid disappointment.
